Job Overview

The Deli Associate helps with the day-to-day food service operations. The associate is a vital member of our organization playing an essential role in, providing a welcoming, positive experience to customers, and ensuring food quality is maintained. The self-motivated, service-orientated individual will be accountable for demonstrating Northdale’s culture of exceptional customer service, serving high quality product, and a team orientated mindset.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain high level of customer service.
  • Communicate company policy.
  • Assist in performing, implementing, and enforcing established daily operating procedures to ensure deli is clean, stocked, organized, and well kept.
  • Maintain quality brand image standards.
  • Maintain product quality, margin control, and waste management.
  • Food preparation, portion sizes, and the overall presentation of food.
  • Communicate any merchandising problems, price change requests, and equipment problems.
  • Enforce all safety policies and procedures and report all employee and/or customer incidents.
  • Follow and ensure all health and food safety regulations are met.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • 1+ year of retail deli management preferred.
  • Specific skills:
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Ability to coach, train and motivate employees.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and problem-solve.
    • Understand food quality.
    • Strong work ethic.

Part Tme

Shifts 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
